The first time I made these chili cheese garlic bread slices& they disappeared in minutes at a family game night. Everyone always asks me to make them for our weekend gatherings now.

Ingredients

  • Bread: 1 baguette or Italian loaf (sliced into 8 pieces)
  • Garlic Butter: 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)& 3 cloves garlic (minced)& 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)& 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cheese & Toppings: 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese& 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese& 2 fresh green chilies (finely chopped or 1 jalapeño)& 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

Prep the Oven:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Make Garlic Butter:
Mix the softened butter& minced garlic& parsley& and salt in a bowl until well combined.
Top the Bread:
Spread garlic butter evenly over each bread slice.
Add Cheese & Chilies:
Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top& then add chopped green chilies and red pepper flakes if desired.
Bake:
Arrange bread slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling and edges are golden.
Serve:
Serve hot& garnished with extra parsley if you like.
