01 - 1 baguette or Italian loaf, cut into 8 slices
→ Garlic Butter
02 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
→ Cheese and Toppings
06 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
07 - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
08 - 2 green chilies, finely chopped or 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
09 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly until incorporated.
03 - Spread the garlic butter evenly across each bread slice with a spoon or spatula.
04 - Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the tops of the bread slices.
05 - Top each slice with finely chopped green chilies or jalapeño. If desired, add crushed red pepper flakes.
06 - Place prepared bread slices onto the lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbling and edges are golden.
07 - Remove from oven and serve hot. Garnish with additional chopped parsley as preferred.
