# What you'll need:
→ Pie
01 - 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
02 - 1 1/2 cups water
03 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
04 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
05 - 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - Pinch of salt
# Method:
01 - Set oven to 400°F (200°C) and allow to preheat fully.
02 - Position the unbaked 9-inch pie crust in a pie pan, shaping edges as desired.
03 - Pour the measured water directly into the prepared pie crust.
04 - In a separate mixing bowl, blend granulated sugar and all-purpose flour until evenly combined. Sprinkle mixture evenly across water in crust.
05 - Drizzle vanilla extract over filling and add a pinch of salt to enhance flavor.
06 - Slice the unsalted butter into thin pieces and distribute evenly over the filling.
07 - Carefully transfer the pie to the oven's lower rack. Bake for 30 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
08 - Reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and continue baking an additional 20 minutes, until crust is golden and filling is set with a slight center jiggle.
09 - Remove pie from oven and cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before slicing for optimal texture.
