06 - ½ teaspoon salt
07 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
08 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
# Method:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Toss asparagus spears with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
03 - Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into eight strips approximately 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
04 - Gather three asparagus spears and wrap one pastry strip around the middle, leaving tips and ends visible. Pinch the pastry ends together beneath to form a star shape.
05 - Arrange bundles on the baking sheet. Brush pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
06 - Bake for 15–18 minutes until pastry is golden and crisp.
07 - Serve warm, optionally garnished with additional Parmesan cheese.
