# Method:
01 - Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
02 - In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
03 - Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
04 - Fold diced apples into the batter evenly.
05 - Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a heavy pot or deep skillet to 350°F.
06 - Drop heaping tablespoons of batter into the hot oil in batches of 3 to 4, and fry 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
07 - Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
08 - Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together until smooth.
09 - While warm, dip each fritter in glaze or drizzle glaze on top.
