# Method:

01 - Combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl using a whisk.
02 - In a separate bowl, whisk together whole milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
03 - Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined, avoiding overmixing; a few lumps are preferable.
04 - Transfer batter to a piping bag, squeeze bottle, or use a teaspoon for portioning.
05 - Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly coat with additional melted butter.
06 - Pipe or drop small dots of batter, about 1/2 inch in diameter, onto the griddle, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
