# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes decadent and creamy while keeping your carbs honest at just 6 grams per serving.
  • Practically writes itself once you gather the ingredients, leaving you more time to actually enjoy dinner instead of standing over a stove.
  • Leftovers warm up beautifully, so meal prep becomes less of a chore and more of a gift to future you.
02 -
  • If your cream cheese is cold and lumpy, your sauce will be lumpy too, so take an extra minute to soften it at room temperature or stir it into the warm cream first.
  • Don't skip the resting time at the end, even though you'll want to dive in immediately, because it makes the difference between a casserole that falls apart and one that holds together beautifully.
03 -
  • Use full-fat cream cheese and heavy cream, not the light versions, because the fat is where the flavor lives and what makes this taste indulgent.
  • If your cheese topping isn't browning as much as you'd like, broil it for the last two minutes under the broiler, but watch it carefully so it doesn't burn.
