# What you'll need:

→ Base Layer

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
05 - 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
06 - 2 large eggs, at room temperature
07 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

→ Apple Filling

08 - 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced
09 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
10 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
11 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

→ Topping

12 - 1/2 cup caramel sauce

# Method:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and line with parchment paper for easy removal.
02 - In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add diced apples, cinnamon, and sugar. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until apples are tender but not mushy. Set aside to cool.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
05 - Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until no streaks remain. Avoid overmixing for optimal texture.
06 - Spread half of the blondie batter evenly in the prepared pan. Evenly distribute the cooled apple filling over the base. Spread remaining batter gently on top, covering the apples.
07 - Bake for 28–33 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
08 - Allow blondies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the cooled surface. Slice into squares and serve.
